Hydraulic hoses are the lifelines of your GENMA machine's hydraulic system, carrying high-pressure oil to where it's needed. But they don't last forever — natural aging, temperature changes, and pressure fluctuations all shorten their service life.

As hoses age, the outer layer hardens and cracks, losing its protective function. The internal reinforcement layer fatigues and may burst suddenly. Seals at the fittings degrade, leading to leaks.

That's why the GENMA maintenance manual specifies: replace all exposed hydraulic hoses every 15,000 hours or 6 years — whichever comes first.

The manual also requires regular visual inspections of both rigid pipes and flexible hoses. Key points to check:

• Outer layer damage — cracks, bulges, or abrasion?

• Leaks — oil seeping from fittings?

• Deformation — abnormal swelling under pressure?

• Corrosion — rust on fittings?

• Installation condition — twisting, rubbing against structural parts?

When replacing hoses, always use GENMA-specified parts. Different hoses have different pressure ratings — using the wrong one is asking for trouble. It's a good practice to mark the installation date on each hose after replacement for easy tracking of service life.
