My name is Rajesh, a GENMA service engineer based in India. I look after MHCs and grab ship unloaders across the country, keeping them running in ports and power plants.

The machines can't stop. That's what customers tell me, and that's the standard I work by. Keeping machines reliable, operations efficient, and customers satisfied — for me, that's the job.

A service engineer's work is full of "small problems": a sensor glitch, a slow hydraulic valve, a false alarm. Seemingly minor, but if ignored, they can stop an entire operation. My rule is simple: every fault is a lesson. Fix it, then ask why it happened and how to prevent it elsewhere.

I remember an MHC where the slewing mechanism was operating normally, with no alarms or abnormal parameters. However, I noticed a slight intermittent fluctuation in the sensor feedback that initially went unnoticed by the customer. My observation led us to investigate the sensor and its wiring, where we found a loose connection causing unstable feedback. After rectifying the connection and verifying the sensor operation, the system returned to normal. Following this, we added sensor feedback and wiring checks to the regular MHC inspection checklist in the region.

For grab ship unloaders, wear points like ropes, trolley rails, and hopper liners need constant attention. We inspect with checklists and data, and plan replacements with the customer's team before anything breaks. I know what customers fear most: sudden downtime. So we stay ahead — spare parts positioned close to site, reminders sent early, problems caught small.

I'm part of a local team, backed by headquarters support and training. But the real reward is when a customer trusts you with their production. My promise is simple: I treat your equipment like my own.
