Cables are the nervous system of your GENMA machine. They carry power and control signals everywhere — from the power room to the cab, from the undercarriage to the boom. Damaged cable sheathing can lead to short circuits, signal loss, or even fire.
What to check
1. Routing
Check that cables run smoothly with no sharp bends. Tight bends can break internal wires over time.
2. Sheathing
Look for cuts, abrasion, or signs of aging on the outer jacket. If you spot damage, address it promptly.
3. Connectors
Make sure all plugs and sockets are firmly secured. If you find a loose one, push it back in and secure it properly.
4. Terminals
Every 250 hours, inspect all terminals, relays, and other electrical components for tightness.
How often?
1. Cable routing and sheathing — visual check every shift (8 hours)
2. Terminal tightness — check every 250 hours
Cable issues often start small. During your daily walkaround, pay extra attention to highwear areas — where cables pass through metal openings or get bent repeatedly. Catch small problems early, and your machine stays reliable.
