The GENMA maintenance manual classifies global climates into six zones:

Coating Inspection Intervals
Coating degradation varies by climate. According to the manual, recommended inspection intervals are:
Arctic: 6 months
Polar: 6 months
Northern: 9 months
Temperate: 12 months
Subtropical: 9 months
Tropical: 6 months
In Arctic, Polar, and Tropical zones, coatings should be inspected every 6 months; in Temperate zones, intervals can extend to 12 months. Extreme temperatures and high humidity accelerate coating aging — shorter intervals help catch issues early.
Maintenance Strategy Tips
Cold regions (Arctic/Polar): focus on freeze protection and cold-start performance — use low-temperature grease
Hot and humid regions (Tropical/Subtropical): focus on rust and corrosion prevention — reinforce electrical system waterproofing
