GENMA Maintenance · Electrical System | Emergency Stops: Test Regularly, Stay Confident

Jul 01, 2026

Emergency stops are your equipment's last line of defense. On GENMA machines, they're placed at key locations — the travel gear, cab, electrical room, power room, and other critical spots — depending on the model and configuration. For exact locations and count, always refer to your specific machine.

Every emergency stop is designed to cut all power instantly when needed.

How to check?

The manual keeps it simple:

1.Make sure the motor is off, but the main power switch is on.

2.Press the emergency stop — the touchscreen should turn off.

3.The entire machine should come to a complete stop.

How often

Every 50 hours, test each emergency stop. It's right there in the maintenance schedule.

A quick word

You may rarely use an emergency stop — but when you need it, it needs to work. Take a few minutes each cycle to test them all. One by one. It's a small habit that pays off when it counts.
